My mother said to me, “Do you use Sea Glass?” I replied,” Only when I read.” My mother looked perplexed then burst out laughing so hard I thought she’d fall of her sofa.
Well, after she quit laughing and snorting, she wiped the tears from her eyes and showed me an article in the paper. It was about Sea Glass. That was a month ago.

Today it’s my turn to talk about Sea Glass, and my featured Artist, Kimberly Kitchen. If you don’t know anything about Sea Glass >click here< and see what I learned. If you know about Sea Glass, you should go to the site anyway because it’s so amazing.
Kimberly’s Pendant’s are a blend of beautiful sea glass and sterling silver woven as one by her expertise in wire wrapping. They remind me of sculptures you may see in a museum or a travel-log. I am amazed by her attention to detail and how intricate the wire is around the Sea Glass.

I must confess that I am an aspiring wire wrapper, but I am not as proficient as she. My greatest accomplishment was wire wrapping the inside handle of the toilet to the thing-a-ma-jig that pulls up the stopper.
I know it doesn’t sound like a big deal, but at the time when spraying water was drowning my husband; It was as important to him as a snorkel and mask. Since that big event, I am looked upon as a Wire Wrapper Extraordinaire. ;o)

Since I started this post with something said by my mother, I’ll tell you something else she has been saying since I was a young girl. Kimberly’s site is so appropriate for this statement, “It takes hard work and love to create things that come out of the Kitchen.”
I agree! Thank you for visiting and have a super day. Cari
