Where did I find the pattern? Repeat Crafter Me written by a very hard working mother of three, who (in her spare time) enjoys crafting, crockpoting, and of course crocheting!
Sarah is the creative mind who writes patterns and tutorials which she shares on her blog FREE and this hat is one of many crochet patterns you will find on her blog. Click here for the pattern > Crochet Bunny Hat Pattern

The pattern was well written and easy to follow. Sarah’s bunny (picture to the right) has black buttons for eyes, which really stand out, an excellent choice. The nose and mouth are sewn on the hat using pink yarn. Too Cute!
Now, I did make a couple changes for my hat because I was making it for a baby. I used Extra Soft Wool Blend yarn by Martha Stewart in Bakery Box White for the hat and the ears. The pink shading on the ears and for the nose, I used Sea Shell Satin by Bernat.
Using black scrap yarn I tried to make the eyes by sewing them right on the hat, not the best eyes I’ve seen but they will do. To shape the nose I followed Sarah’s pattern, which I think her upside-down triangle was a brilliant idea.
As for the mouth, I couldn’t make up my mind whether to use black or pink yarn, smile or no smile. So I consulted with my crochet buddy Helen and we decided… No Mouth! lol
So that’s pretty much it for this Crochet Baby Bunny Hat and I do suggest traveling over to Sarah’s blog ‘Repeat Crafter Me’ to see other crochet patterns she has written. Thanks for spending time with me today… until next time! Cari
